Practical AI for Business Helsinki is a meetup for business people interested in using AI / machine learning in real-life business scenarios, not in 10 years but today. Talks will be about the uses of said technologies, as well as how to learn to harness them in your organization.

Aaron (Ari) Bornstein (Open Source Engineer @ Partner Catalyst, Microsoft Israel: https://www.linkedin.com/in/aaron-ari-bornstein-22aa7a77/) – Object detection made easy. Aaron (Ari) Bornstein is an avid Machine Learning enthusiast with a passion for history, engaging with new technologies and computational medicine. As an Open Source Engineer at Microsoft's Global Partner Catalyst Team, he collaborates with Israeli Start-Ups, to solve real world problems with game changing technologies that are then documented, open sourced, and shared with the developer community.

Max Pagels (Machine learning specialist, SC5 Online: https://www.linkedin.com/in/maxpagels/) – Bandit Algorithms. Multi-armed bandits, i.e. immediate reward reinforcement learning, can be used to model a variety of real-world optimisation problems. In this talk, we will present the general multi-armed bandit problem and give an overview of some well-known bandit algorithms. We'll also take a look at some of the practical applications of bandits, ranging from medical trials to optimising online advertising.
