Don’t forget your database when doing Continuous Delivery - by Wouter de Kort

More and more organizations are deploying their applications in an automated way. However, deploying the database always seems to be the biggest issue. Automating schema changes, migrating data between different versions and making sure that your application stays working while these deployments are happening is challenging. In this session, you'll learn both architectural approaches and tooling support like SQL Server Data Tools and the RedGate Data Tools for different approaches to automatically deploying your database. We'll also look into testing these changes and making sure that you can deploy your application and your database with confidence.

Wouter de Kort works as the Principal Consultant Software Development at Ordina. He helps organizations stay on the cutting edge of software development. Wouter focuses on DevOps, Agile and Application Lifecycle Management. He loves solving complex problems and helping other developers to grow.
