Are you Oracle DBA or developer? Do you know what sqlplus and RMAN is? Maybe you know what TDE andPDB means? Good! We have a challenge for you! DBA Competence Center and Oracle Baltics invites you to participate in hands on challenge where you will have a chance to prove you are more worth than an online backup without archive logs and win professional recognition and valuable prizes along the way.
Challenge will test your knowledge and skills in backup and recovery, security, multitenancy and In-Memory features as well as basic administration tasks. Don't worry if some of the subjects are new to you - you will have Oracle Documentation and Google on your side. And your production databases are safe for now - all participants will use Oracle 12c Database hosted in Oracle Cloud.
Challenge is split in two parts. Qualification will run from February 23rd till March 2nd and you can participate in it from the comfort of your home or office. Qualification tasks will be sent out to all registered on February 23rd at 17:00 (EET) . Everyone who will successfully complete this home work will be invited to participate in the Main event.
Main event will take place on March 2nd Restoran Massimo, Maakri 25, Tallinn Estonia from 15:00 till 20:00. Beer and snacks on us.

The idea and content for the event was proposed by Juris Trošins who is a partner and expert at DBA Competence Center LTD. He has more than 16 years of experience with Oracle Technologies and holds worldwide recognized OCP, OCE and OCM certifications. DBA Competence Center acted first as Oracle First Line Support and now they are delivering own services and helping people to solve their problems with Oracle products. Juris also delivers Oracle University training courses on regular basis and is frequent speaker at different tech seminars like Oracle Days and LVOUG events.
