About Stephan Schambach

Stephan Schambach is a serial entrepreneur in ecommerce. He invented the first ever standard software for online shopping in 1995 and his first venture, Intershop, went public on the U.S. NASDAQ stock exchange in 2000. In 2004, Schambach founded the U.S. company Demandware, Inc. and offered the first ecommerce solution as a cloud service. Demandware was listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) in 2012 and was acquired by Salesforce in 2016 for $2.8 billion. In 2015, he founded NewStore, Inc.. to offer a truly end-to-end commerce platform built for a mobile-first world, the Mobile Retail Platform. NewStore connects brands, associates, and consumers with an extraordinary retail experience
About Christoph Räthke 
Christoph Räthke (linkedin profile) started his career in one of the first digital agencies in 1996, joined his first startup team in 1999/2000 and has been working with the Berlin digital industry ever since. Christoph founded Berlin Startup Academy as Germany’s only founder-owned accelerator in Summer 2012. Since 2015, BSA works as an independent part of German Tech Entrepreneurship Center (GTEC), Germany’s most powerful initiative to unite high-growth innovation with industry, Mittelstand, capital, science, and academics. In addition, Christoph is the host of Germany’s most successful entrepreneurship talk show Founders Unscripted, and author of business/ lifestyle mag Business Punk’s startup review column.
