Eemeli Aro: "The Road to Intl.MessageFormat"

The internet is global, and its future is by no means written or spoken only in English. With the upcoming Intl.MessageFormat addition to JavaScript, we're making it easier than ever to write and maintain apps and systems that not only speak your language, but also the languages of your users. To do that, we're redefining how localisation really works, and building a system that's interoperable with all existing data formats, workflows and processes, as well as (hopefully!) all the ones we can't even imagine yet. Let me show you this new world, and where it might lead us.

Jukka Palomäki: "Flutter Stuff"

Flutter allows you to build apps for mobile, web, desktop, and embedded devices — all from a single codebase. I will tell you some basic technical Flutter stuff, and about my experiences in a project where we totally rewrote two old native apps (Android / Kotlin & iOS / Swift) with Flutter & Dart. I will also show some stats about the trends we see in the cross-platform development area with also some comparisons e.g. to React Native.

How to arrive

The address is Yliopistonkatu 29B. When you arrive to the main hall, you'll find the stairs and lift from the left. Go to the 4th floor and there you'll find our office.

If you arrive by car and park in P-Kivikukkaro parking hall, note that the lift next to the parking doesn't take you directly to our office. If you come from the parking hall you can take the parking hall lift to floor K (K-Supermarket) and then walk past the K-Supermarket hallway and take the escalator up to the main entrance hall from where you will find the stairs/lift to our office.
