What I wish I had known before contributing to JS OSS projects

Contributing to open-source software projects is one the best ways of making yourself a better developer and a great way to create value for everyone in the ecosystem. It can also be intimidating to new and more experienced developers alike.

In this talk I will share some of the ideas and knowledge I have gained while contributing to various JavaScript open-source projects and maintaining Brackets, Adobe's open-source code editor made with JS that paved the way for other popular editors such as Atom and VS Code.
